Banzai Cowboy Sushi and Martini Bar will open its doors on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Market Street at DC Ranch. Come one, come all to experience the fusion of East meets West in this intimate and lively indoor/outdoor space.

Scott and Gregory Ziegler, the founders of NYPD Pizza, are at the helm of Banzai Cowboy. “We saw a great opportunity to create a more adult sushi concept in an amazing location.” Scott says. The menu will be Southwest-inspired, with unique items created by Chef Fumiharu Hirose, who brings with him more than 30 years of experience from around the world. Signature martinis will be the first order of business. Every place setting will have a martini glass on it, subtly suggesting that everyone start their experience with one of a dozen signature martinis, which will be shaken and poured at the table.

The overall feel will be fun, relaxed and casual, with Banzai Cowboys sitting above, meditating over the food; Asian and Cowboy cultures intermixing.

Country, rock and pop music will all be a part of the music selection, so there’s something for everyone.

Dinner, 7 days a week, from 4 p.m. until midnight. Lunch, Friday and Saturday starting at 11:30am. Sunday is Fun Day, so head over for Happy Hour all night long. The rest of the week, Happy Hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and features food specials and $6 martinis. Tuesdays bring out the beloved “WHEEL OF SUSHI”. Every table gets the chance to spin the wheel to win free dinner and drinks. Wednesday is Ladies Night. Thursdays and Fridays from 8 p.m. until close, karaoke will be in full swing. On Saturday nights, classic dance music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s will be rockin’ the space. Every night at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the Lucky Lights go on, giving patrons a chance to spin the Wheel of Sushi.
